CREWE ALEXANDER - THE RAILWAYMEN
An artist's interpretation of a British football team's 'Nick-name' and possible derivation of that name - This one shows:
Crewe Alexander
Also subtitled with the nick name - in this case:
The Railwaymen
These sketches or cartoons would have been originally produced in the 1950’s and probably for a Boy’s Annual or Footy paper. They are reproductions printed at a later unknown date, on what is curiously, a mixture of actual antique paper, vintage paper, and what looks to be quite modern paper (in other words, printed on various paper types - if the type is important - please ask!). As collectibles I think the artwork and the artist's views are possibly more important than the age of the paper. Provenance: unknown, bought as a lot in an auction with other prints etc.

Provenance: UNKNOWN. It measures approximately 230 x 200 mm (9 x 8 inches) - (but they do vary slightly in size and colour) and is in good condition. It is blank on the reverse and suitable for framing. It will be packaged in a board backed envelope.
