GUINNESS ADVERT The Horseless Carriage - GE 2570
THE ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS
The Horseless Carriage - Guinness is Good For You
From a series of adverts called "Inventions in Guinness Time". A full page with colourful comical scenes showing couples out for a drive in their motor cars. There is a comical verse that accompanies the illustration. This would look lovely framed. There is a colour advert on the reverse for Dowsett of Tallington, Stamford, Lincs. It shows a Dowsett Standard Building.
Provenance: From the Illustrated London News 1956; a newspaper founded by Herbert Ingram, with the first edition appearing on 14 May 1842.
Suitable for framing. The page measures overall, approximately 370 x 255mm (14.25 x 10.25 inches ). This is a page from a publication and so has text on both sides. It is in good condition with a few handling marks to edges - please check the larger picture for condition. Due to the size this item will be packaged in a tube and sent RM Small Parcels.
