A full page advert entitled The Umbrella - Guinness is Good for You

It shows a very colourful scene from the Inventions in Guinness time series - in this case 1795, The Umbrella. There are various funny umbrella related characters including a Pekingese dog, with a pint of smiling Guinness on his back, carrying an umbrella. There is a comical poem/ditty within the illustration. The artist is unknown.

On the reverse is the front advertising cover of the ILN, featuring such small ads as Youngs Scampi, Moet & Chandon, Reive, Abdulla cigarettes, Lindt chocolate, McVitie and Price, Ruffino and more.

CONDITION/DIMENSIONS

Suitable for framing. The page measures overall approx 365x250 mm (14.25x10 inches) and is in a very good, clean condition. The page is printed on both sides. There is a little age yellowing. The page is too large for RM Large Letter post so will be packaged in a tube and sent RM Small Parcels.
