WW2 Guinness Advert OFFICERS IN SERGEANTS MESS
A full page from an issue of the Illustrated London News advertising Guinness of course. It shows two Army officers entering the Sergeants Mess (probably because the Guinness has run out in the Officers Mess). The sergeant at the bar is mortified (but still at attention) as this is not the "done thing" unless the officers were invited into the mess. The advert is numbered GE 965. - There is a small repaired tear to one border, slightly encroaching on the printed area
There is an advert (full page colour) for Johnnie Walker Red Label Whisky on the reverse.

The page measures overall approx. 365 x 250 mm (14.25 x 10 inches). It is suitable for framing; a wonderful talking point. There is some age yellowing possibly with some spotting - please check the larger picture for condition. There is a small repaired tear to one border, slightly encroaching on the printed area. This item will be packaged in a tube unless otherwise requested. It is printed on both sides.
