Life Seems Brighter After GuinnessA full page colour advert dated 1931 advertising Guinness, the Irish dry stout. It shows a half full glass of Guinness. Sub-tiled: Guinness Is Good For You. There is a full page colour Craven pipe tobacco advert on the reverse with an endorsement from Sir James Barrie with a quotation taken from My Lady Nicotine.
Provenance: From the Illustrated London News; Published London 1931. The Illustrated London News was a newspaper founded by Herbert Ingram, with the first edition appearing on 14 May 1842.
Condition/Dimensions: The page measures overall 360x250mm (14.25x9.75 ") approx. It is printed on both sides. There is a little age yellowing; please check the picture(s) for condition. The advert is dated. Watermarks on the listing image do not appear on the original advert. This item will be packaged in a tube and sent Royal Mail Small Parcels.
