....the repulsive figure of Madame Vyrubova, This woman may fairly be regarded as the original centre of all "dark forces" of Russia, She was, as leading lady-in-waiting, the chamber confidante of both Tsar and Tsaritza, and took a leading part in the spiritualistic vagaries in which the Frenchman Philippe and the Russian monk Helidor played upont he minds of the rulers.When Helidor fell out of favour, Madame Vyrubova introduced Rasputin, and became, with this infernal witchdoctor, the leading conspirator against the Russian throne and people. etc

From a publication, as the date states and not a modern reproduction. Both pages each measure 310 x 230 mm (12 x 9 inches) approx. It is printed on both sides. There is a some age yellowing with handling marks to the edges. This item will be packaged in a board backed envelope. "Info.” in the description is my research, although relevant to the accompanying image or article, is not necessarily in the text.
