The caption states it's the second stage of the Battle of the Somme with an attack on the main German second lines between Pozieres and Longueval......etc

On the reverse is a smaller print, with text above, entitled: Roll-call of the Seaforths After the First Day's Battle on the Somme.

Provenance: The Great War - Amalgamated Press. Published circa 1916. The Great War series was published between 1914 and c1919.


The page measures 310 x 225 mm (12.25 x 8.75 inches) approx. There is text/images on both sides. There is a little age yellowing with handling marks to the edges.
