On the back is a full page print titled Russian Cossacks Charge the German Death's Head Hussars in East Prussia Aug 26th, 1914. The drawing is from a description given to the artist by Mr R. W. Ames the British manager of a large estate in East Prussia, which he witnessed through his field.
Provenance: The Great War - Amalgamated Press. c1914. The Great War series was published between 1914 and c1919.
A double page print from a publication, as the date states and not a modern reproduction. Printed on good grade quality paper, it measures overall 430 x310mm (18x12inches) approx. It is printed on all sides. There is an as published fold to the centre with staple witness marks. There is a some age yellowing with handling marks to the edges. There is a very small tear to border of one of the page. This item will be packaged in a board backed envelope. "Info.” in the description is my research, although relevant to the accompanying image or article, is not necessarily in the text. (LL).
