A full page print from a publication, from the dated stated and not a later reproduction
A wonderful print from a drawing by war artist Alick P. F. Ritchie. It shows the King of the Belgians talking with soldiers with bayonets fixed; shell bursting nearby. Info. Alexander Penrose Forbes Ritchie a Painter b. Dundee Scotland im 1868.
On the reverse is a photographic print at the bottom of the page, titled The Daily Decrees of the German Masters of Brussels During Their Temporary Occupation. It shows a scene outside the Hotel de Ville where the daily notices of proclamations were posted. Soldiers and Officers in the foreground while crowds read the notices.

It measures 310 x 225 mm (12.25 x 8.75 inches) approx. It is blank on the reverse and is suitable for framing. There is a some age yellowing with handling marks to the edges. There is a very small tear, repaired on the reverse, to the right border, This item will be packaged in a board backed envelope.
