The first side is titled A Remarkable Camera Record of the Sinking of the German Cruiser Mainz off Heligoland August 28th 1914. A very striking photographic image taken from the deck of a British cruiser just before the Mainz sank, British sailors in the foreground watching the Mainz on fire. There is an account of the operation in a caption beneath the print.
The second side is titled British Chivalry: Rescueing German Crews off Heligoland from a drawing by C. H. Padday. Info. Charles Murray Padday RI, ROI (1868-1954) was a renowned British artist and illustrator. There is an account of the operation in a caption beneath the print.

Interesting and informative illustrations etc from the WW1 period on a full page from the dated stated and not a later reproduction. The page measures approx. overall 315 x 225 mm (12.25 x 8.75 inches). It is printed on both sides. There is a some age yellowing with handling marks to the edges. This item will be packaged in a board backed envelope. "Info." in the description is my research, although relevant to the accompanying image or article, is not necessarily in the text.
