The first side is titled A Remarkable Camera Record of the Sinking of the German Cruiser Mainz off Heligoland August 28th 1914.
A very striking photographic image taken from the deck of a British cruiser just before the Mainz sank, British sailors in the foreground watching the Mainz on fire. There is an account of the operation in a caption beneath the print.

The second side is titled British Chivalry: Rescuing German Crews off Heligoland from a drawing by C. H. Padday. Info. Charles Murray Padday RI, ROI (1868–1954) was a renowned British artist and illustrator. There is an account of the operation in a caption beneath the print.

CONDITION/DIMENSIONS
It measures 310 x 215 mm (12 x 8.5 inches) approx. It is printed on both sides. There is a some age yellowing with handling marks to the edges. This item will be packaged in a board backed envelope.
