It shows a lady with a little boy, possibly mother and son, building the word OXO. There is an inset with further advertising words of wisdom which read :Besides imparting its own special nutriment to the system, OXO ensures from all classes of foods their highest nutritive value, OXO ensures the system absorbing the full 100 per cent nutriment from the food eaten.

There are other smaller advertisements on the reverse: Henry Heath Hats; Flor de Dindigul cigars; Alexander Clark wristwatches.


Provenance: The Sketch (magazine) - Publisher: The Illustrated London News and The Sketch Ltd. London 1894. A British illustrated magazine, which focused on the theatre, high society and aristocracy, art, sport and leisure A Journal of Art and Actuality. It ran between 1893 and 1959. It was renowned for its many beautiful engravings and high photographic content.


From the date stated and not a later reproduction. This is a page from a periodical and therefore is printed on both sides. The page measures overall approximately 350 x 245 mm (14 x 9.5"inches ). There is a little age yellowing around the edges - please check the larger picture for condition. This item will be packaged in a tube unless otherwise requested.
