With sub-titles: Incidents of the Coming German Invasion of England; By Heath Robinson: German Troops, Disguised as British Excursionists, Crossing the North Sea.
The fifth in a series of comical prints by W. Heath Robinson and shows the "disguised" Germans on board a ship; with the invading army below deck. It also shows boxed stores of lager, vienna schnitzel and schwartz brod.
On the reverse the page is titled The Literary Lounger: The Bookshelf of the Two Kings. It also shows a picture titled The Proclamation of King George's Accession from Which The Words "and of the British Dominions Beyond the Seas" were omitted.
Provenance: The Sketch (magazine) - Publisher: George Routledge; London 1910. A British illustrated newspaper/magazine, which focused on the theatre, high society and aristocracy, art, sport and leisure A Journal of Art and Actuality.
Suitable for framing. The page measures overall approximately 350 x 245 mm (14 x 9.5"inches ). There is some age yellowing around the edges - please check the larger picture for condition.From the date stated and not a later reproduction.
