The Sketch
Dated 1910
One side is a photographic study in colour by Langfier with LS or SL appearing as a signature on the work; and titled: The Golden Time of Youthfu' Prime and subtitled Whose large blue eyes, fair locks, and snowy hands might shake the saintship of an anchorite; the words are from the poem Childe Harold's Pilgrimage by Lord Byron .
On the other side is a photographic study by Bassano in a setting byThe Sketch. It is entitled Silver and Grey with subtitles Dancing feet that gleam and shoot, Rapid and white as sea birds o'er the Deep line from the poem Lalla Rookh by Thomas Moore. A fairy study.

From the date stated and not a later reproduction. This is a page from a periodical and therefore is printed on both sides. The page measures overall approximately 345 x 240 mm (13.5 x 9.5inches ). There is very little age yellowing; minor handling marks around the edges - please check the larger picture for condition. This item will be packaged in a tube.
