UPPER CANADA AND THE St LAWRENCE
A very detailed circa 1907 map ata scale of 1 : 1,964000 or 31 miles to the inch of North Eastern Canada. It shows the principal through routes by land and sea, including Railways, Canals, Steamship Routes etc. With distances to and from various ports in nautical miles.
There is an inset entitled The Great Lakes, showing all of the lakes on a smaller scale approx 100 miles to the inch. There is a further inset showing detail of MONTREAL area at 1:500000.
The map covers from Toledo and Port Clinton in the SW to Buffalo to La Champlain in the East.The North western extremity shows Sault St Marie and Achigan, and in the Far North East is Lake Long in Champlain
Suitable for framing. It measures overall 510 x 390 mm ( 20 x 15.25 inches ) approx. It has an original as published fold to the centreand has a split at the top and bottom and has been repaired on the reverse at some time; 2" at the bottom, 3" at the top. It has a blank reverse (blank apart from titles and a key map). It originally would have been in an atlas, edge mounted so as to avoid damage to the map, and not stapled. This map will be sent rolled in a protective postal tube unless otherwise requested (which may have an effect on packaging costs).
