There are two large insets titled European Colonization about 1800 - showing British, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch possessions. The other titled The Colonial Empires at the Present Time showing British, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, German, Italian, United States, Russian and Turkish Possessions.
It also shows shipping and steamer routes (with distances) and submarine cable routes.
Provenance: George Philip and Son. Published: London. circa 1905-07.

Suitable for framing. It has an original as published fold to the centre (slight tear to the border on this fold - easily repaired, not affecting the map). Blank on reverse (blank apart from titles and a key map). There is a little age yellowing. It measures overall 510 x 390 mm ( 20 x 15.25 inches ) approximately. It originally would have been in an atlas, edge mounted so as to avoid damage to the map, and not stapled. This map will be sent rolled in a protective postal tube and sent RM small parcels.
