1900 Antique Print DEANS YARD GATE WESTMINSTER Waldo Sargeant LONDON Lithograph

A 1900 (undated) chromolithographic print. Printed on good quality heavy textured paper with a blank reverse. Tipped in (or edge mounted) onto thick stock card. It comes complete with a separate page with small descriptive notes - these notes were printed on different grade paper and have browned, and become somewhat brittle around the edges, (but this could be trimmed easily if desired)

Entitled on a separate sheet:

Plate 31 Inner Gateway, Dean's Westminster

Artwork by Waldo Sargeant

The descriptive notes read as follows: Situated to the South West of the Abbey. This picturesque Gateway is a good illustration of many similar entrances to conventual buildings.
Info. the remaining precincts of the former monastery of Westminster.

It is on good quality heavy gauge paper with a blank reverse. The print backing measures overall, 220 x 307 mm (8.5 x 12 inches) approximately, The actual print is a little smaller as can be seen in the scans There is a little age yellowing which is a feature of items of great age and there may be some scattered but light, brown spotting ( foxing ). This print inevitably would have been originally bound in a book at some time - please check the larger picture for condition, anything more than minor will be mentioned in the main body of the description. This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope. "Info." in the description is my research and not on the print or associated material/paper.
