Provenance: Edited and Published by George W. Bacon FRGS., Agent by Appointment for the Ordnance Maps, 127 Strand. London c1891.
The map covers from Grahamstown in the north west, to Ballincrieff Mains in the north east down to Bowland and Cathie Mains in the south east, finally across to Elsrickle and Springfield in the south west. The rail route networks are shown and the official names of railway stations are printed along the routes. Larger areas marked include Kinellar, Old Machar, Nigg, Peterculter, Mary Culter, Banchory Devenick, Fetteres The maps are very detailed, and I try to reflect this in my descriptions, so if you are looking for a particular house, farm or place, please ask us to verify its presence before buying.

It measures overall 510x345mm (20x13.5inches) approx. including borders. It has an as published fold to the centre. It originally would have been in an atlas, edge mounted so as to avoid damage to the map, and not stapled. It is suitable for framing. There is a little age yellowing.
