The map, at a scale of 1 inch to 1 mile covers from Kintore in the North West, across to Black Dog Links and Skelly Rock, on the north-east coast; and down through Aberdeen Cove Portlethen, Newtonhill, Muchals to Stonehaven in the south-east and across to Hurlie Bog in the South West. The rail route networks are shown and the official names of railway stations are printed along the routes. It names larger areas including Dyce, Kinellar, Old Machar, Skene, Newhills, Nigg, Petercultur or Peter Cultur, Mary Culter, Banchory Devenick, and Fetteresso. The maps are very detailed, and I try to reflect this when I type my descriptions, so if you are looking for a particular house, farm or place, please ask us to verify its presence before buying.

It measures overall 510x345mm (20x13.5inches) approx. including borders. It has an as published fold to the centre. It originally would have been in an atlas, edge mounted so as to avoid damage to the map, and not stapled. It is suitable for framing. There is a little age yellowing.
