From the work by Harry Fenn (1845–1911) English-born American painter, and engraved by Josiah Wood Whymper (1813 Ipswich - 1903 Haslemere).

Women working alongside a river or stream, a watermill ruin, with the village up on a hill in the distance.

Info. The village was devastated by an earthquake in 1887 and never recovered. Today it is known as Bussana Vecchia (Old Bussana), and is an artists commune k.a. The International Artists Village.

Again by Harry Fenn and engraved by Josiah Wood Whymper.

Fishermen hauling a boat onto the shore, with others mending nets etc. Fortification in background with church and other buildings.

Info. approx. location Lg. Mare C. Colombo, Santo Stefano Al Mare, Liguria, Italy. Although it states Taggia in title, this was probably historical.

The page is printed on good quality paper with text above and beneath the engraving (this text can be matted out in the framing process. There is incomplete text on the reverse along with another engraving. The overall page measures 320 x 225 mm (12.25 x 9 inches) approximately. There is a little age yellowing which is a feature of items of great age. There is very slight bleed-through of print from the reverse, and mainly to borders. Please check the larger picture for condition. This item will be shipped flat in a board backed envelope.

The term "an original print/illustration" is a pictorial image made in a manner which allows it to be multiplied, and originating from the date stated. This includes examples of various methods of printmaking including engravings, etchings, woodcut etc. Many prints inevitably would have been originally bound in a book at some time as was this one.
