This first part of the description features a list of images i.e. engravings from sketches, drawings etc. (these sometimes have descriptive articles but not always). They include:

Sayings and Doings include" A shipload of Human Hair arrived at Havre from Vera Cruz. The hair comes reive from the heads of various native Mexican tribes who have been scalped by their enemies. It is described as in a most filthy condition. The hair is of course to be worked up for European beauty according to the present mode" !!!.

CONDITION/DIMENSIONS

The Illustrated Times was a newspaper founded as a competitor to the Illustrated London News, but never really gained a lot of popularity, and now are consequently quite rare.
 

8 pages (16 sides). It measures 365 x 260 mm (14.25 x 10.25 inches). The spine is loose with binding witness marks where once bound, some pages are loose. There is some age yellowing with some spotting. The engravings vary in size. Some pages may have minor cuts tears and blemishes due to their great age. The engravings vary in size. No colour images unless otherwise stated. PLEASE NOTE: I cannot guarantee that the issue is complete 'as published' - but what I have described above IS present. As far as I can tell there are two pages missing so if you are looking for something in particular in these pages PLEASE ASK. The process of the page numbering carry on from the previous issue, therefore do not start at number 1.

The descriptive text in my listing, details the content in my words"Info." in the description is my research, although relevant to the accompanying image or article, is not necessarily in the text. This item will be packaged in a tube.
