(Yes they missed the De out of Rio De Janeiro) a lovely colour print (Chromolithograph for the technically minded) of a lady with basket of fruit on head going to market. It is dated and has the publisher's name under the image George C Leighton

On the reverse - blank.

Provenance: From the Illustrated London News, a newspaper founded by Herbert Ingram, with the first edition appearing on 14 May 1842.

CONDITION /DIMENSIONS

It measures overall 390 x 270 mm (15.5 x 10.5 ") approximately. There is a little age yellowing and some light water staining; please check the picture(s) for condition. This item will be packaged in a tube.
